
Chicken Katsu with Katsu Sauce (L&L Hawaiian Barbecue Copycat Recipe)
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 c cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 c water
- 15-20 chicken thighs boneless, skinless; about 4 lbs
- 1 lb panko bread crumbs
Katsu Sauce
- 1/2 c worcestershire sauce
- 1 c ketchup
- 1 c sugar
- 2-1/2 c water
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 2-3 dashes tabasco sauce
Instructions
Sauce
- Combine all ingredients except for water and cornstarch. Bring to a boil. Add cornstarch/water mixture to thicken.
Chicken
- Trim excess fat from chicken and flatten.
